currently reading the book "Mists of Avalon"(published 1982) "Miraion Zimmer Bradley" author

I am at the spot where lancelot travels with elaine (gwenievere's sister) to her castle, and unbeknown to him, she and Morgaine (trained priestess) (arthurs 1/2 sister) are planning to put a spell on lancelot to induce him to marry Elaine - despite his decades long love affair with Gweneveire.

I would love to see the movie!! :)

another good one on the same line: "the forest house" by the same author.
Ok, finally got to watch part of part II on tv. Unfortunately it was the part where king Arthur convinces Guenny to bed with he and lancelot in a little medaevil threesome...which was shortly before the part where (was it Morganna) is having sex with her cousin?

Not quite the King Arthur tales I grew up with. I switched back to the dino show.

But the costumes/sets/horses and men with long wavy hair were very nice to look at.
In the story of King A didn't Arthur in his younger days bed his sister/half sister and have a son? (He didn't know who she was until afterwards.)
That's one interpretation of the Arthur legends. In that interpretation, Arthur's half sister knowingly and willingly beds him, to have a child by him who would take the throne. This was in the 'Merlin' titled Arthurian legend books as well.
Marlon Brando Clashes with Frank Oz

NEW YORK (AP) - Marlon Brando's off-screen antics during filming of ``The Score'' were high drama.

Brando would refuse to come to the set if director Frank Oz was present, leaving co-star Robert DeNiro
to direct one of Brando's scenes. Oz watched from an offsite monitor and sent instructions to DeNiro via
an assistant director, Time magazine reported in its July 16 issue.

When they were in the same room, Brando called Oz ``Miss Piggy,'' and at one point said, ``I bet you
wish I was a puppet so you could ... make me do what you want,'' Time reported.

As a young puppeteer, Oz provided the voice for Miss Piggy on ``The Muppet Show.''

The film stars Brando as an elderly gay crook orchestrating the biggest heist of his career; DeNiro as a
thief ready for retirement and Edward Norton as an aspiring young thug.

The 77-year-old Brando earned about $3 million for three weeks of work, Time reported. DeNiro, 57,
signed on first for $15 million. And Norton, 31, joined the cast to act alongside two legends.

``I always imagined my first drama would be lower budget, maybe $15 million,'' said Oz, 57. ``I could get
really dark and dirty with actors who were unknown.''

The film cost nearly $70 million.

Saw it on a replay, all in one four hour sitting. (actually less because we recorded it so we could fast forward the commercials). It was pretty good. Like all King A movies it had it's own twist. Merlin was a kinda non character. The lady of the lake was a real person and caused all the problems. In most (some) versions the lady of the lake actually lives IN the lake and was the keeper of Excalaber. I thought the threesome with Arthur, Lancelot and Guinnivere was an interesting twist. Arthurs tryst with his half sister was made to be innocent on his and her parts but some depictions have him actually seducing her because he was stricking by her beauty. I read one version where Modred actually came an lived with King A and was getting along great and the last battle where King A was killed was a misunderstanding by someone's troops as they were about to settle their differences. All and all an entertaining evening.
