<b><font size="4">Update: Chinese Researchers Confirm SARS Came From Animals</b></font>
(09/04/03) In research appearing in the journal Science, Chinese scientists compared the viral genetic particles isolated from humans infected with SARS with animals recently captured and held in a food market. The coronavirus in the animals was found to be 99.8 percent identical to a virus that causes Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrom (SARS) in humans.
