Question about AOLs and breaks...

Dear Psitech Bulletin Board,

I am currently watching lecture B of the Generation 2 tapes, and I have a question concerning breaking and AOLs. First, the breaks. When you break (-), do you write (EI, AI, AOL, Etc.)-whatever then drop your pen and pick it back up or do you drop your pen after writing - (Break) then pick it up and write what it is then drop and pick up again?

Second, with AOLs, when we write them out do we write AOL-Whatever or AOL- (Ratcheting, Peacocking, etc.)? Or do we just write AOL?
